Purpose for the Position:To perform duties to maintain kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
Essential Responsibilities:
Sweeps and mops floors once every hour or as needed (at least once a day/night).
Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
Separates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
Steam-cleans or hoses-out garbage cans.
Sorts bottles and breaks disposable ones in bottle-crushing machine.
Washes pots, pans and trays by hand.
Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
Polishes silver, using burnishing-machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth, if required.
Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of hand truck.
Sets up banquet tables, when required.
Washes and peels vegetables using knife or peeling machine, when required.
Runs glasses through dish machine twice.
Understands OSHA regulations.
When handling chemical, always wears safety glasses.
Puts away and rotates stock.
Puts away all clean utensils and stock in designated areas.
Maintain personal hygiene.
Communication between co-workers and management team required.
Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
Performs other related duties as required.

Education and Experience:
Minimum of High School education or GED.
Hours:
Due to the nature of the business, scheduling may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements of the Position:
Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or greater than 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
Physical Activity of the Position:
Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking/pinching with fingers, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.
Visual Acuity Requirements:
Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.)
Environmental Conditions:
Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered inside if the worker spends approximately 75 percent or more of the time inside.
Extremes of Heat Plus Temperature Changes: Extremes of Heat: Temperature sufficiently high to cause marked bodily discomfort unless the worker is provided with exceptional protection.
Temperature Changes: Variations in temperature which are sufficiently marked and abrupt to cause noticeable bodily reactions.
Wet and Humid: Wet: Conta t with water or other liquids. Humid: Atmospheric condition with moisture content sufficiently high to cause marked bodily discomfort.
