First Student Paratransit General Manager in PLEASANTVILLE, New Jersey

The following position is for a proposed new/future business within MPC Bus Co. Only candidates meeting the work experience requirements will be considered.

Responsibilities of a General Manager:

This individual, on-site and on-call, is responsible for all aspects of the operation. The General Manager must be dedicated solely to this operation and cannot have any other responsibilities within the parent organization. This person must be highly experienced with strong leadership skills. The General Manager is a manager and cannot hold or regularly perform any other position in the operation. The General Manager must have the full authority to independently make any decisions required for the safe and efficient operation of the contracted service and must have a working knowledge of the performance of all functions in the project. The General Manager must demonstrate collaborative and administrative skills and be computer literate. This position must be available on-call as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Valid driver's license

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of proven experience managing a paratransit operation similar in scope and size to the Access Link project

  • Proficient and knowledgeable in Trapeze PASS system

  • Computer literacy with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Evidence of building solid relationships with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and continuously motivate highly effective teams.

  • Successful track record in managing budgets and/or P&L responsibility.
