Within Citi Commercial Bank Sales franchise, Citi provides the product and services for these type of clients to navigate their Treasury Landscape, providing cash management solutions specifically, facilitating the growth of these companies.

Role Description

The Sales Business Strategy & Management is a key role that will support the NAM Sales Business Strategy & Sales Enablement team that leads the NAM sales business strategy, data analytics, product commercialization, industry focused strategies, proposals and sales enablement. This role will drive the business/portfolio performance tracking and analysis, resource planning, project execution and management of key strategic business initiatives. The role will require partnering closely with Sales, Bankers and cross functional partners (Product, Marketing, HR etc) to successfully execute on the key business priorities and initiatives. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate closely with several core function groups including but not limited to Financial Reporting and Management, Business & Data Analytics (globally) to enable best-in-class management and business analytics reporting process and deliverables.

The Business Strategy and Planning Manager will be expected to support multiple and highly variable deliverables daily, which are critical to facilitate effective business strategy and performance evaluation and timely decision-making. As such, the candidate must establish strong working relationships with internal partners, have a good understanding of the strategic and business dynamics and support the NAM Sales Business Strategy & Sales Enablement team in fulfilling its core objectives.

The successful candidate should possess strategic, business management and analytical skills, be a collaborative team player, and be able to influence change in the organization. The right candidate for the job will support the team in value creation, improving operating efficiency and helping to identify ways to unlock upside or to stretch limits, driving impact and execution together with the CCB Leadership Team.

Key requirements for the role, include:

  • Partner with the Leadership Team, key Business and Function Heads to shape and support the strategic priorities for NAM CCB Sales, in alignment with CCB global strategy.

  • Partner with the Leadership Team to ensure successful formulation and alignment on implementation goals and timelines.

  • Organize meeting and reporting cadence for monthly business reviews, resource planning and broader change management projects.

  • Deliver high quality reporting and management presentations on business and financial metrics in collaboration with Finance to support regular scorecard and business reviews.

  • Set goals for strategic efforts and ensure tracking and measuring are in place for all initiatives, with leading indicators identified and milestones clearly outlined across each effort.

  • Drive and ensure ownership, discipline and smooth execution across key strategic priorities and initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain insightful management dashboards for sales and client analytics, working closely with Data Analytics team.

  • Proactively leverage data to identify new revenue growth opportunities for the business.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large portfolios to identify trends.

  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop impactful executive level presentations that convey a clear story.

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to untangle complex issues.

  • Fine attention to detail and creative skills allowing to transform data and information into visuals.

  • Strong project management skills, flexibility, and ability to manage multiple assignments in a dynamic, complex, and fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable in ambiguous situations, a self-starter and self-learner

  • Advanced MS Office skills –Excel & PowerPoint

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance or commercial banking or business strategy preferred.
