Randstad US Full Stack Developer in Toronto, Ontario
As an Application Software Developer, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of application software to meet established standards and specifications. Your role involves collaborating with project stakeholders to develop initial project specifications and writing structured application/interface code within defined methodologies and standards. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining and optimizing existing corporate applications, identifying and escalating issues requiring changes in application or system architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and maintain application software to established standards and
specification with appropriate documentation
Participate in the development of initial project specifications
Within pre-defined structure, write structured application/interface code from specifications
conforming to established methodology and standards
Assist in maintenance and optimizations of existing corporate applications (proprietary or
purchased solutions), escalate any issues requiring a change in application or system
architecture
Test, debug, document and implement both new programs/technologies and changes to the
existing
Act as escalation point for Support team with respect to corporate applications and provide
technical assistance and problem resolution for these products
Analyze end user business needs and develop customer oriented solutions which integrate
with existing applications
In cooperation with the end user, test application software to assure accuracy, integrity,
interoperability and completeness to achieve desired results
Ensure system integrity and assist with upgrades where required
Conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required in
a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or Related post-secondary education in Computer Science or InformationSystems
10 years full stack development experience
3+ years of object-oriented programming
Demonstrated understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
Microsoft Office (Excel / PPT / Word / Outlook)
.Net and Classic ASP
MS SQL
Preferred:
Time capture/tracking solutions (i.e., custom; PeopleNet; Harvest; Status)
Experience in researching complex issues and developing recommendedaction
Google apps (mail, calendar, contacts)
Resource Management / Professional Services Automation tools
Time/Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
