JOB DUTIES :
Ø Be an active leader in developing a culture of safety, coordinate department day to day production and work standards activities, and help ensure compliance to policies, guidelines and rules.
Ø Lead people, respect people, build fellowship and teamwork
Ø Conduct Safety Audits
Ø Back up for the supervisor in his absence
Ø Clean hand-off of information and system to the next shift Lead
Ø Make improvements that add financial value
Ø Lead and follow all safety and health requirements listed in applicable procedures and work instructions.
Ø Help train employees and perform observations of work and coach employees back to standard
Ø Troubleshoot and work with maintenance and department personnel to determine problem (quality, productivity, down-time) root cause and take the leadership role in problem solving activities.
Ø Perform preventative maintenance and corrective action procedures.
Ø Manage the usage of supplies, inventory, and ordering of supplies used on the Anodize Room.
Ø Interact with other departments to prevent and/or solve problems.
Ø Communicate with Anodize Supervisor and relay instructions to others in the department.
Ø Perform duties as assigned by Anodize Supv. to efficiently meet production schedules and OTIF deliveries.
Ø Emphasizes the requirement of safe working practices on the Anodize Line.
Ø Develop and maintain a good relationship with internal suppliers, promoting a positive teamwork environment characterized by mutual trust and respect, open and honest communications, and a passion for winning and improving.
Ø Lead daily management meeting, track metrics and help create improvement plans
Ø Lead, drive and/or actively participate on continuous improvement projects to optimize processes and efficiencies.
Ø Build and develop team members by setting challenging goals and by providing effective feedback, mentoring and coaching.
Ø Administer employment policies and procedures, approve time sheets and time off requests, and complete performance evaluations.
Ø Employee is required to follow all safety and health requirements listed in the applicable procedures and work instructions.
Ø Be able to Supervise, lead and coach co-workers to develop their skills.
Ø Must have a good understanding of the Anodize process and equipment.
Ø Knowledge of Kawneer products
Ø Excellent communication skills
Ø Excellent decision making and leadership skills
Ø Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (e-mail) and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Ø Working knowledge of JDE shop floor reporting screens
Ø Active support and leadership for ABS tools and concepts.
Ø Be fluent with JDE, Workbrain, Lotus Notes
Ø Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
