Job Summary :

The Robot Electronic Warfare Specialist is part of a support team providing ROV & UUV service support for EODGRU ONE units of action throughout all phases of force deployment, redeployment, and sustainment for EOD training, exercises, and missions. Required services will consist of robotic technician support for preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on government-owned equipment, operational training for Navy EOD Technicians, and to manage the logistics support functions that enable PM, CM, and training services therein.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Perform Preventive and Continued maintenance, repairs, Training, and Asset Management on robotic systems to include ground and waterborne current and future systems utilized by EOD forces by troubleshooting, replacing components, and performing specific depot level repairs.

  • Capable of operating test equipment, electrical hand tools, basic hand tools and knowledgeable with basic computer science.

  • Perform operational/functional testing per manufacture guidelines prior to robotics equipment issue, upon receipt, and after component replacement and repairs.

  • Have working knowledge in requisitioning procedures, receipt processing, warehouse operations, hazardous material (HAZMAT) usage/storage, storage on-load/offload, and transportation procedures.

  • Conduct asset management by monthly inventories of stock and conduct annual inventory of all items.

  • Maintain receipt paperwork and maintenance history for each robotic system. Initiate purchase requests for urgent replacement parts as required.

  • Act as robotics training coordinator by maintaining system repair certifications and training assigned to US Navy personnel on basic robotics issuance, receipt, and functional testing procedures.

  • Properly utilize, store, and dispose of HAZMAT as required for system maintenance.

  • Have knowledge in Microsoft Office 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and SharePoint

  • Possible travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations.

    Qualifications :

  • Ability to operate test equipment, electrical hand tools, basic hand tools, and have working knowledge of basic computer science.

  • Maintain system certifications for maintenance on all assigned units.

  • Have working knowledge in requisitioning procedures, receipt processing, warehouse operations, hazardous material (HAZMAT) usage/storage, storage on-load/offload, and transportation procedures.

  • Have basic knowledge and be able to operate Material Handling Equipment, such as pallet jacks, hand-trucks and up to 6,000-pound forklifts. Forklift drivers must possess a valid state.

  • driver’s license and valid OSHA approved forklift license/certificate.

  • have knowledge in Microsoft Office 365 applications including Outlook,

  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification.

  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds multiple times a day during training exercises.

  • Current DoD Secret Clearance.
