Arconic Materials Engineer / Metallurgist in Rancho Cucamonga, California
Arconic Engines is looking for aMaterials Engineer/Metallurgistwho is responsible forproviding materials/metallurgical support for Arconic Engines Rings facilities, with a focus on forging and ring rolling metallurgy and processes.This position will be located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Define process data requirements, and employ process data to resolve production part problems;
Use of data analytics to make decisions;
Investigate and implement new technologies and capabilities;
Improve existing processes by reducing cost and increasing yield;
Interface with testing labs and other Arconic Engines facilities, to perform analysis, improve processes and resolve issues;
Assist with new product introduction (NPI);
Perform related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineer, Materials Science or Materials Engineering;
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an engineering field;
Experience in material characterization techniques and concepts, including failure analysis;
Experience in Aerospace forging of nickel, titanium, aluminum, and iron-based alloys;
Experience in project management and technical reporting writing;
Strong oral and written communication skills;
Ability to work on several technical area projects simultaneously;
Experience with aerospace quality systems, such as AS9100 and Nadcap;
Knowledge of aerospace standards and material specifications;
Knowledge of statistical software packages, such as Minitab, SAS, or R.
