National Coatings & Supplies Grease Process Tech I in Raleigh, North Carolina

In this role you will be accountable for safely and efficiently performing all processes related to the area of Grease Plant batch cooking. You \'ll join a growing team dedicated to providing quality private labels and all major brand lubricants to our valued clients.

Grease Cook Duties:

Identify and use the correct raw chemical materials in order to bring a batch of grease into grade per the NLGI standards

Safely utilize the necessary valves, heater, pumps, and other machinery in the post-cooking processes

Fill out all paperwork completely and accurately

Regularly communicate with a Supervisor the status of a batch in process

Report any spills or leaks that could cause a potential accident or effect the environment

Be mindful of housekeeping and keep a clean work area

Develops and understanding of the overall process and is able to begin working towards a greater understanding of the position\'s needs

Grease Process Tech I is the entry-level position to the Process Tech Positions, Grease Process Tech I is expected to progress towards Grease Process Tech II, beginning with assisting the cook setting off the day\'s batch

Other duties as assigned

Grease Cook Requirements:

High School diploma or (GED)

Experience in compounding/blending manufacturing environment, is a plus

Must be able to learn Work Instructions and safely follow them according to the product being made

Capable of working overtime with little to no notice and on Saturdays

Forklift certification is a plus

Capable of lifting 50lbs repeatedly over the course of the shift

Must be able to use ladders, stairs, and stand for long periods of time throughout the shift

Must be capable of being certified to wear a dual cartridge respirator

Requires very high attention to detail, organizational skills, and an aptitude for equipment usage

Ability to multi-task and strong problem solving ability

Experience operating pumps and valves is a plus

Ability to read and legibly write English

Must be able to read and interpret standard gauges and instruments is a plus

Ability to work with others
