About the Role
To provide assistance to the production team in a way that supports the Magna Charter, Corporate Constitution, and customers, investors, and employees. He/she will support the Team Leaders and Team Members by providing guidance and tools they need in order to be safe and productive. The supervisor has responsibility for all aspects of running the shift including but not limited to maintaining production standards to ensure that the parts required are produced. The Supervisor will assure that the quality standards are being met and that only quality parts are produced and released for shipment.The Supervisor has an assigned Leader Standard Work (Ease) which should be adhered to but can deviate based on the production circumstances and applicable priorities.
Your Responsibilities
The Press Production Supervisor is responsible for all team members’ safety, overall development and supervision of Team Leaders and Team Members, health and safety, quality, customer cost, productivity, and ergonomic issues through using the company policies and procedures and the Magna Employee’s Charter as a guideline. The Supervisor must audit daily to be sure the team is following the processes and work instructions to be successful as well as facilitating the training needed to perform a particular role effectively . The SV (Supervisor) is responsible to sustain and improve all key aspects of S/Q/D/C/M (Safety – Quality – Delivery – Cost – Morale) by managing and leading the team by driving for continuous improvement.

A leader who can build and lead a World Class Manufacturing Team.
Ensure all production lines are running with the assigned RTO (Required to Operate) Headcount
Provides instruction, guidance and leadership to employees by assisting in solving day to day problems, utilizing the Magna Employee Charter while implementing the policies and procedures of the company.
Provide timely coaching, counseling, and feedback to Team Leaders through one-on-one sessions, performance evaluations, and regular team meetings to ensure fulfillment of policies, practices, and procedures.
Plans and directs the utilization, maintenance and use of all machinery, equipment and manpower to achieve the most effective results.
Responsible for maintaining, repairing and completing Engineering changes to all tooling, when possible, in house or coordinate all tooling work to be done outside of Drive.
Your preferred qualifications
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required; 2-years degree from accredited technical college preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, previous leadership role preferred; experience in heavy metal stamping, Tool and Die experience
Must possess working knowledge and understanding of the Drive’s processes
Ability to build and lead a world class manufacturing team
Ability to coach and engage Team Leaders to develop their leadership skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to hold people accountable through the Magna Charter Principles
Must possess working knowledge and understanding of quality systems, standards, and procedures
Must have strong team-focused, interpersonal and leadership abilities
Must have excellent communication skills
Must be willing to work extended or flexible hours as required to meet external and internal customer requirements
Must be willing to work in various locations within and outside the facility
Must be able to pay good attention to detail
Must possess good human relations, leadership skills, and a maturity of judgment
Must have good organizational and problem-solving skills.
Must have current forklift certification.
