Shift - Monday - Thursday, 6 am - 4 pm You will: Maintain inventory of CNC cutting tools & holders, including organizing, sorting & record keeping. Inspect & change CNC cutting tools & holders per conditional requirements Install, set-up & calibrate CNC cutting tools Perform basic calibrations and basic operations on CNC Mills and Equipment Provide feedback regarding tooling issues to appropriate departments. Work with, assist and coach operators, as required regarding tooling related criteria Enter operational data into database on daily basis Engage with and manage work orders as appropriate via CMMS software (i.e., Pirana) calibrate & inspect digital CNC probes, (tool probe & work probe). Diagnose & recover machines from tooling related alarms. Diagnose/troubleshoot tool wear and tooling inconsistencies. Provide feedback regarding machine & equipment status. Assist with & perform material type changeovers on CNC machines (Flexing of tool sets) Assist with coolant pressure, coolant concentricity & vacuum pressure audits Assist in maintaining, assembling, inspecting & inventory of work holding fixtures Perform blade changes on automated bandsaw, using appropriate LOTO procedure Communicate updates by use of email & verbal communication Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures Perform additional tasks as assigned You have: Minimal High School diploma or equivalent Education 1 years of manual machining or CNC experience Must be mechanically inclined Knowledge of CNC mill setup and operation Strong Problem-Solving skills Able to work safely with sharp & heavy objects (i.e. cutting tools, fixtures, etc.) Able to use required measuring instruments such as calipers, dial indicators, inspections cameras, etc. Able to perform consistent quality inspection of cutting tools Able to safely operate handheld and stationary power tools Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook etc.) Able to use a computer and calculator Ability to follow direction from supervisors, technical leads and computer or printed instructions Able to read and write in English along with ability to complete basic arithmetic Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment Must be able to work well socially with others Must be punctual and have good attendance Strong attention to detail Able to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions, and direction from supervisors or technical leads ood written and oral communication skills Bonus Points for: Experience with cutting tools (drills, saws, grinders, etc) Experience with professional inspection & quality audits Experience with CNC digital work probe & tooling probes (set-up, replacement, recovery) Experience with troubleshooting & recovering CNC machine alarms Manual machining or CNC machining experience Physical Demands: While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and/or sit for the entire shift; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reaching, bending, grasping. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, and/or move up to 40 pounds without lift assistance. Work Environment: Indoors General MFG: Indoors (generally air-conditioned but with occasional temperatures up to 85 degrees F or down to 65 degrees F); non-smoking; production; eye protection & safety shoes required. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
