Job Overview:

6 + yrs. in oil and gas with major contractor or consultant predominantly performing detail design of offshore facilities. Strong working knowledge and analysis methods, and detail knowledge of the content and application of standard, codes guidelines as applicable for offshore. Design, analyze and prepare complex project deliverables for power generation systems, substations, power distribution systems, lighting & grounding systems, and other engineering systems as required by each project. Apply in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the industry to address complex problems and nonstandard situations for design/engineering, fabrication and construction.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Apply comprehensive knowledge to prepare and supervise the development of key project deliverables, including (but not limited to) the following:

• Interconnection and wiring diagrams

• Block diagrams

• One-line diagrams

• Motor control schematics

• Electrical building and equipment layouts

• Bills of Material

• Cable sizing calculations

• Area classification drawings

• UG/AG power plans

• Lighting plans

• Lighting design calculations

• Cable sizing

• Grounding Plans

• 3D Electrical modeling (E3D)

• Aveva Electrical (2D)

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 6 years of detailed electrical design experience, in the oil & gas industry on EPC projects

• Detailed knowledge of design techniques, sequence of deliverables, and schedules

• Working knowledge of the content and application of standards, codes and guidelines, including NEC, NFPA, IEEE and ANSI

• Proven project coordination and execution skills in delivery of completed project design deliverables

• In-depth technical knowledge of the detailed design process involving large cap (>$500 million) EPC Projects

• Experience with utilization of MOPEX execution for large cap EPC projects

• Proven experience with suits AVEVA 3D and 2D, Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL), AutoCAD, MS Office Suite including Excel and Word

• Good English communication skills (spoken & written)
