Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, TheMaintenance Supervisordirects the maintenance work force and provides on-site expertise. Under minimal supervision, lead the maintenance work force with troubleshooting and maintaining electrical control systems, process control systems, instrumentation, and operator interface terminals for large scale manufacturing equipment. These machines may contain multiple PLCs, VFD’s, Servos, and HMI’s. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with daily challenges and long-term growth and development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads and manages all day-to-day maintenance technician activities, including approving timekeeping and monitoring all job-related schedules

  • Provides guidance, tracks and oversees all tasks assigned to the maintenance technicians (mechanical and electrical).

  • Responsible for motivating and training the workforce to work safely and efficiently

  • Coordinates the planning and scheduling of resources and manpower to complete Preventative, Reactive and Predictive Maintenance activities on schedule.

  • Reviews work planning and scheduling (with the maintenance manager;

  • Audits and ensures the quality of work being performed by the maintenance technicians.

  • Effectively communicates and schedules maintenance activities with operations.

  • Able to evaluate the qualifications of the maintenance technicians and recommend training/development as needed.

  • Replace and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies.

  • Responsible to identify and issue corrective actions to technicians.

  • Oversee the preventative maintenance program on the Motor Control Room, Transformers, and various pieces of Manufacturing Equipment.

  • Minimize equipment downtime through corrective and preventative maintenance.

  • Ability to lead and assist with capital improvement projects throughout the facility.

  • Responsible to perform and/or assist with mechanical repairs throughout the facility and on machines.

  • Responsible for installation and electrical set-up of new or relocated machinery.

  • Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting industrial power distribution and lighting panels, circuits and fixtures.

  • Installation and wiring programmable digital controllers and electrical troubleshooting and repair of all plant production equipment.

  • Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of plant-wide industrial electronic components for electro- mechanical systems, installation and programming of SLC and PLC programmable controllers, power supplies special and remote 1/0 modules and communication interfacing.

  • Implementation and debug of new machines and upgrades to existing machines.

  • Read all blue prints and facilities AS-builts.

  • Read hydraulic prints.

  • Support technical troubleshooting of hydraulic, pneumatic, and combustion systems.

  • Must be able to perform tasks at working heights greater than 4 feet.

*Basic Qualifications: *

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;

  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution.

  • Basic Knowledge of PLCs, HMI Programming, digital and analog sensors.

  • Basic working knowledge of Ladder Logic.

  • Working from electrical schematics, must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and isolate electrical and electronics issues in a timely manner.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills and can work as a team player.

  • Solid understanding of Maintenance actions (Preventative, Reactive and Predictive).

  • Experience in Maintenance planning and scheduling, with line-side supervision experience.

  • Microsoft office platform (excel, word, etc.).

  • Basic Working knowledge in PCs and application software is essential;

  • Must be able to be on-call, work any shift, weekends and overtime.

  • 8 years of electrical Industrial maintenance (Electrical and Mechanical) supervisory experience.

  • Technical troubleshooting of hydraulic, pneumatic systems and combustion systems.

  • Experience with Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers.

  • Working knowledge of motors control centers and distribution controls systems.

  • Can reference and navigate the NEC Working knowledge of N.E.C.
