Are you a passionate Master's Student in Sustainable Finance, Accounting, Finance, or Control and looking for an exciting internship opportunity to work on sustainability reporting and assurance topics in a company that pursues business progress and societal impact? Then dsm-firmenich is looking for you to support the Global Sustainability team with the methodology development and assurance of key sustainability KPIs.

You will become a member of our dynamic Group Sustainability team and an integral part of cross-functional and cross-organizational initiatives. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders spanning various business units, sustainability and finance functions. Your will be involved in analyzing data extracted from insights garnered through our company's robust sustainability programs. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in organizing and facilitating a diverse array of partnership meetings and events across different levels of the organization.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the team with tasks related to benchmarking of sustainability KPIs, research, data collection and market analyses;

• Supporting with framing and structuring problems around creation and measuring of sustainability KPIs;

• Creating materials for internal and external presentations and communications.

You Bring

• Master’s student (and still subscribed to a university in The Netherlands) in Sustainable Finance, Finance, Economics, or Control;

• Completed Sustainability courses, affinity and prior experience in the field (preferred);

• Strong analytical skills and ability to derive insights from data;

• Ability to work effectively with a high degree of independence, in a virtual team setting and stakeholders based in multiple locations;

• Proven skills in managing several projects simultaneously;

• Fluency in English with strong oral and written communication skills.

Location and start dateThis full-time traineeship will be based in Maastricht office in the Netherlands, with much flexibility to work from home. We are open to discuss the time commitment about writing your thesis. The ideal start-date is 1st of June 2024, with an internship period of 6 months.
