Louisville Bedding Maintenance Technician in Louisville, Kentucky

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our team on night shift. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation of machinery, control panels and mechanical equipment. You will trouble shoot and repair operational and support equipment and perform PM activities.Hours will be Wednesday- Friday 6am -6pm and will shift to Tuesday-Friday 6pm-2amESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Troubleshoot and repair production and/or support equipment.· Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, policies and regulations.· Ensure proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing scheduled preventative maintenance.· Repairs and replaces industrial machines and mechanical components such as motors, blowers, pumps, gear boxes, bearings, seals, belts, etc.· Repairs and replaces faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, circuit boards, fuses, etc.· Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems and using precision measuring and testing instruments.· Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform required maintenance and service.· Complete work orders as assigned in a timely manner.· Document all work, parts, and time in CMMS via tablet or smartphone.· Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS · Three or more years of hands-on maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.· Must have basic hand tools and tool storage.· Ability to work independently or in a team setting in a fast-paced environment.· Solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC’s, low voltage and 3-phase electrical systems.· Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings, instruction manuals and safety rules and procedures.· Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform required maintenance and service.· Ability to drive a forklift and other equipment.· Ability to read and/or understand written and/or verbal policy, instruction and direction in English required.· Knowledge of LOTO.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIESMust maintain exceptional attendance record. Ability to conduct responsibilities of the job in a courteous and professional manner.
