The ICIS Events team bring together communities of key industry practitioners with our thought leadership and insight which drives better outcomes for customers in their target markets. As our industry evolves, we have a huge role to play in connecting global markets. Our portfolio of events provides customers with the opportunity to meet and learn from those at the forefront of the industry. Each event has a unique mix of stakeholders from across the value chain, and as such they reach a broad and wide variety of customers.

About the Role

You will be joining a passionate Production team on a one-year full time contract to deliver a global portfolio of 4 conferences per year. Reporting into the Head of Production, you will be responsible for researching and writing high level agendas, identifying and securing market leading and inspirational speakers across our flagship portfolio of events.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with customers and industry thought leaders through in-depth market research, identify current trends, emerging topics, and key industry players. Writing insightful and detailed conference agendas to target the audience

• Identifying and recruiting industry experts, thought leaders, and keynote speakers to participate in the conference, securing their commitment and coordinating logistics

• Establishing and fostering good working relationships with existing advisory committees

• Staying informed about competitor events and trends impacting the petrochemical sector and more specifically, markets in your portfolio

• Staying informed about industry trends, competitor events, and best practices in conference production. Continually enhancing the quality and relevance of our events

• Collaborating with the wider functions within the business to identify and recommend speaking opportunities. Showcasing ICIS expertise within your agendas

• Creating insightful and content led marketing copies for email, website and social media campaigns. Demonstrating quality of the agenda content and speakers and helps drive attendance

• Attending conferences onsite to deliver the best-in-class customer experience and engage with attendees to gain valuable feedback

Requirements

• Demonstrate experience in commercial B2B conference production and event planning

• Display project management and research skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

• Be a team player, committed to supporting the team goals, whilst also using your own initiative

• Possess curiosity with a desire to learn more about the petrochemical sector and how this shapes the world

• Demonstrate excellent Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, senior industry executives, and stakeholders

• Be tenacious and intent on securing the best quality speakers within agreed deadlines

• Display creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative conference agendas and content, as well as expert marketing copies

• Demonstrate research and analytical abilities to identify market trends, industry insights, and relevant topics
