DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Communications Section in the Central Office of the Bureau of Forestry is offering an intern position. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of communication tasks within the bureau. These tasks include transcribing handwritten drafts into correspondence, reports, and other documents that require the supervisor's review and signature. Additionally, you will assist in managing the inventory of photographs for DCNR's photo library, known as the Photo Station. You will also be involved in writing projects related to the state forest and natural areas, as well as supporting the bureau's conservation education efforts. Furthermore, this intern position will be responsible for organizing and filing bureau communications materials. Finally, you will be expected to assist with any other duties and activities as required.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time, Internship. Duration of Internship: 5/1/24 - 8/30/24. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following majors: Communicatons Forestry Environmental Resource Management An approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable. Freshman year completed. Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher) Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

Additional Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.
