DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will be working hands-on in the laboratory, receiving samples and preparing them for microbiological analysis. You will also be conducting tests on a variety of samples, including calculations and documentation, and entering the results into the laboratory databases. Additionally, you will be assisting with laboratory management, making this a well-rounded experience.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time internship that will last from 5/1/2024 through 8/30/2024. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors: Biology Chemistry Food Science Related majors to above An approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher) Freshman year completed Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

Additional Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
