What you will do

We are excited to offer an internship opportunity for a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our Digitalization and IT team as a Fall 2023 Intern at Volvo Trucks North America located in the beautiful New River Valley. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in the dynamic fields of digitalization and information technology. As an intern, you will have the chance to work closely with our IT professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain insights into how technology drives our business forward.

Who are you?

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Recent graduates may also be considered.

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75

• Strong passion for technology, digitalization, and innovation.

• Solid foundational knowledge of IT concepts, including hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity.

• Familiarity with programming languages, databases, and cloud computing is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute positively to group discussions.

• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and take initiative.

• Detail-oriented mindset and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Previous relevant coursework, projects, or internships in IT or digitalization is a bonus.

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
