Why this job matters

We are looking for a procurement professional to support in the effective acquisition of goods and services for the build and maintenance of EE’s mobile sites.

What you’ll be doing

  • Helping to drive and deliver procurement plans and activities in BT’s RAN (mobile) Category Management, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement. Negotiating and implementing procurement frameworks and procedures.

  • Ownership of one of the mobile RAN categories

  • Working with BT and EE business stakeholders to identify and deliver savings opportunities, efficiencies, and compliance.

  • Ability to work within (sometimes complex) RAN supply chain scenarios and provide agile responses to Business Units to assist in the progression of market opportunities.

  • Providing key inputs for Category Strategies and Sourcing Activities, through planning and execution of sourcing, and supplier and risk management activities

  • Building and maintaining category knowledge, applying best practices around sourcing approach, supplier selection, total cost of ownership and negotiation tactics

  • Drive and deliver end-to-end sourcing projects including complex contractual and pricing models, in accordance with strict timelines.

  • Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders and suppliers and negotiate commercial and contractual arrangements utilising the latest contracting tools

  • Review and approval of POs for EE

  • Deliver other business partnering services to key CFUs / CUs in the UK. We work in a dynamic environment and are looking for someone who will learn and grow with us.

The skills you'll need

  • We’re looking for someone who is results oriented, ambitious, and passionate.

  • Comfortable with contract negotiation.

  • Experience within a fast-paced, busy Procurement function.

  • Good business expertise in category management, particularly around supplier capabilities and commercial models required to deliver portfolio and customer requirements

  • Ability to manage sometimes complex, strategic, and commercial requirements between BT and Suppliers, and deliver projects and results

  • Exposure to business partnering and working with business stakeholders to deliver results.

  • Exposure to digital sourcing tools and willingness to learn and develop further

  • Telecoms experience would be desirable

  • Knowledge of SAP would be a plus
