JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop electrical engineering designs for various types of projects including airports/related airport facilities; water/wastewater plants and pumping stations, and office and laboratory buildings.

• Design electrical power distribution and lighting in industrial, institutional, and commercial facilities.

• Design low and medium voltage switchgear and transformers.

• Perform power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protective coordination, arc flash analysis).

• Field investigations and prepare building electrical systems engineering reports.

• Perform construction administration services such as shop drawing and RFI review.

• Create cost estimates and proposals for projects.

• In addition to technical excellence, this individual is expected to effectively lead, manage, and design multiple projects simultaneously.

• Will travel up to 25% of the time when/if needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of experience OR

• Demonstrated equivalency of education/experience to have performed the responsibilities above

• Stable work history within the organization

• Detail oriented and experienced engineer

• Experience in construction administration/management and observation

• Ability and experience to satisfy clients" needs, budgets, and schedules

• Strong familiarity with industry codes and standards (NEC, NESC, IEEE, federal, state, and local building codes)

• General familiarity with a broad field of engineering and knowledge of work impact on, and coordination with, other disciplines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

• Proficiency in ArcFlash studies software

• Proficiency in electrical issues coordination with, and assistance for, control systems engineers

• P.E. Preferred
