In the role of Graphic Assistant, we'll count on you to:

Deliver projects from concept through completion Assist other designers with projects Develop marketing materials, including design/layout of advertisements, newsletters, display panels and proposal/presentation materials Research paper options, printing techniques and digital media processes as necessary Prepare work for output and meet with vendors to discuss and estimate projects Ensure quality control through approval of proofs and review of materials

Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work closely with project managers, planners, engineers, and other subject-matter experts to develop client-focused publications for our military and other federal clients, often in a fast-paced environment and within budget constraints. Develop and produce a wide variety of high-quality document types for military customers, including in-house printing of sensitive documents. Provide basic formatting and document layout in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word, using existing styles and branding. Design graphics and layouts using Adobe Creative Suite. Assist in the development of templates for new products as needed. Utilize modern publications processes including ADA-compliance, InCopy workflow, automation, data merging (e.g. from Excel), charting, and scripting with regular expressions (GREP). Coordinate production workflow, including printing and shipping. Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, journalism or similar with minimum 5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to translate complicated, technical information into user-friendly text and graphics. Detail- and deadline-oriented. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Highly skilled in the use of Adobe InDesign and Acrobat as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Power BI is a plus. Ability to use tools creatively and to innovate solutions and extend the capabilities of Adobe Creative Suite and other software. Understanding of and interest in modern web coding (HTML 5, Vanilla JavaScript, Python, In5, and other subsets to create automation and interactive experiences). Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands for your time in a fast-paced environment. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. Team-oriented and also able to work independently. Professional appearance and demeanor.
