Job Description
Supports functions authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration for Monogram Systems. Provides quality assurance support to internal and external customers. Participates in continuous improvement activities in targeted areas. Helps execute the Quality Assurance strategy to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements. The primary function of this position is one of accuracy.
Complementary Description
A. Must be able to obtain Delegated Manufacturing Inspection Representative delegation from FAA/MIDO within 12 months of accepting position. **
B. Inspects production products and related parts conform to the approved type design.
C. Issues original and export airworthiness certificates for aircraft in support of current DMIR/DAR.
D. Collects data to support investigation and improvement activities
E. Completes inspection processes (i.e. Inspection Report, First Article Report, Acceptance Test Report, etc.) to assure customer requirements are met in existing, new, or modified products and processes.
F. Participates in aspects of product development and launch activities throughout the organization as requested. Efforts should primarily be targeted at evaluation of test programs, material testing/inspection, and control of quality cost.
G. Participates in the auditing of internal Quality Systems and assists in corrective action system follow up
H. Provides support in the evaluation of process capability, process control plans, analysis of out-of-control conditions and process audit.
I. Investigates and eliminates causes of quality problems and follows up on corrective actions.
Job Requirements
FAA aeronautical knowledge and experience desired.
Understands problem solving methods, i.e. 8D and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems
Basic knowledge of techniques for assuring product quality
Knowledge of tools such as Control Plans, Characteristic Matrix, Gage Capacity, Process Capability, Process Flow, Preventive Maintenance, etc
Knowledge of process auditing techniques to ensure compliance to defined quality requirements
Understanding of mechanical inspection concepts and tool sets with ability to inspect simple assemblies and components with support.
Ability to read drawings\blue prints
Basic knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, AS9102
Required: Current certification to issue return-to-service 8130 tags.
