Google Electrical Hardware Engineer, High-Speed Input Output, Silicon in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in design and bring-up of hardware/PCB for post silicon validation and fine pitch SoCs.

  • Experience in electrical parameters for debugging High-Speed Input Output (HSIOs).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Python/C# for test automation.

  • Experience with PCB hardware design and bring-up for high speed I/O test hardware involving mobile/compute SoCs, FPGA, etc.

  • Exposure to complete PHY characterization and compliance testing.

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

With your technical expertise, you lead projects in multiple areas of expertise (i.e., engineering domains or systems) within a data center facility, including construction and equipment installation/troubleshooting/debugging with vendors.

  • Enable Google's future products by owning electrical hardware system design and validation from concept to production.

  • Architect and drive high density, high speed, and feature rich electrical hardware/PCBs to enable complete electrical characterization of complex System on Chip (SOCs).

  • Work on hardware validation for high speed interfaces (PCIe, USB, UFS, MIPI), analog, and mixed signal IPs.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver a successful high volume production screen hardware for ATE and SLT.

  • Work with ATE, SLT, and Handler vendors to create test fixtures, prototype boards, bench solutions, and automated robotic handler-based ATE and SLT solutions for manufacturing screens.
