Description:

Certified Small Business and Original Design Manufacturer established in 1980 is seeking an electrical engineer with experience in circuit design including analog and digital logic. Circuit design to include power supply magnetics and feedback stability. Applied Systems Engineering designs and manufactures high voltage power supplies, modulators, Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTA), Magnetron Transmitters, Klystron Transmitters/Amplifiers, and their associated power conversions. The selected candidate will provide design engineering support for the manufacture, test, and sustainment of Radar Transmitters and TWT amplifiers.

Responsibilities:

• work within a team of engineers from various disciplines, responding to the increasing demands associated with the increasing production and sustainment of standard and custom hardware designs to achieve customer requirements.

• This will involve responding to procurement, manufacturing, testing, and sustainment issues.

• Functions of the position includes troubleshooting of analog, digital, high voltage, and RF Circuits down to the component level while interfacing directly with internal, and external clients to explain failure modes, fault isolation, and maintenance procedures.

• The selected candidate must have the initiative to identify, resolve, and reduce potential problems through continuous learning, working with experienced Subject Matter Experts, and self-teaching using engineering documentation and product manuals

• Modification of existing hardware designs.

• Work closely with other members of the development team in translating system performance and operational specifications into hardware functional requirements, and achieving those requirements in design, test, and verification.

This opportunity employs classic design techniques, power electronics knowledge, and hands-on laboratory skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in the design and development of Power Supplies and control electronics

• Willing to work with a team of Engineers for product development and sustainment.

• Hold knowledge of general purpose and laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, Volt/Ohm meters, power supplies, and pulse generators.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
