Description

Ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue (ASC 606) in accordance with accounting standards (such as IFRS 15) and company policies..

1. Review customer contracts and assess their financial implications for revenue recognition.

2. Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations teams to analyze and interpret contract terms and conditions.

3. Perform detailed analysis of revenue transactions, including multiple element arrangements, software licenses, subscriptions, and service contracts.

4. Identify and resolve revenue recognition issues, including deferrals, accruals, and revenue adjustments.

5. Participate in the development and improvement of revenue recognition policies, procedures, and controls.

6. Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reporting.

7. Prepare financial statements and related disclosures in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

8. Assist with the preparation of financial reports for management, investors, and external stakeholders.

9. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support for financial audits.

10. Perform financial analysis and variance explanations to support management decision-making.

11. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and financial reporting requirements.

12. Provide guidance and training to cross-functional teams on revenue recognition principles, financial reporting, and compliance.

13. Assist with other finance and accounting projects as assigned.

Prefers experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
