​Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor - 1st Shift to join the team at the Amarillo, TX manufacturing site. Relocation assistance is available.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $77249.97 - $113299.96 a year.

What you’ll do:

You will provide Foundry leadership for the Amarillo, TX facility by driving a zero incident safety culture, positive employee relations, supporting key business objectives, and continuous improvement projects in order to meet established SQDCI (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost/Productivity, and Inventory) results. Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Safety – Proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment, through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and Zero Incident culture enforcement. Own various MESH (Management System of Environment, Safety, Security and Health) modules including management for Eaton established guidelines, training for impacted population and providing updates as required. (e.g. Respiratory Equipment Program, Industrial Hygiene, etc.).

  • Eaton Business System – Act as a business partner by planning, initiating, leading, measuring, monitoring and assessing continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements by applying appropriate Eaton Business System (EBS) processes and problem solving tools such as Standard Work and 5S

  • Lead Department Team – Engage workforce in melt, core, mold, and grind departments, and promote personal accountability by identifying goals, empowering employees to drive decision making, foster innovation and continuously learn by providing ongoing feedback on employee performance with formal evaluation provided at least annually. Identify training needs for direct reports that enhances the performance of the facility – coordinate and deliver training as required to ensure understanding and training retention. Assist in the recruitment, assessment, and selection for both internal and external hires/promotions.

  • Production – Actively participate in setting, communicating and achieving department goals and objectives and develops and maintains performance metrics as required to monitor results and uses those results as a tool to identify and initiate process improvements within own work area. Coordinate and monitor production schedules to meet customer ship dates. Partner with maintenance to schedule routine equipment needs in order to manage and maintain equipment proactively. Manage appropriate levels of inventory for raw materials for foundry operations (e.g., sand, steel, iron, etc.)

  • Delivery – Investigate causes of scrap or production delays attributable to machinery condition, faulty workmanship, improper metal chemistry, etc. and implement corrective actions. Work closely with internal and/or external suppliers/customers to ensure acceptable quality and delivery performance.

Additionally, a strong understanding of production scheduling and product flow and the ability to coordinate/communicate activity with other supervisors will ensure efficient and flexible operations.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum three (3) years of manufacturing experience

  • Minimum one (1) year leadership experience

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Technical knowledge in the following areas: machinery, tools, foundry specific equipment

  • Knowledge of EEO, OSHA, and other Federal and State laws

  • SAP experience
